Sequins

Some things just will never fade in the fashion industry and all what we have to do is except them and embrace them. The fact that the Sequined things starting with dresses , bags and shoes ending with hair pins and sometimes make up products.

If we took a moment to think about the history of Sequins we will find it rather amusing. They have been used to embellish the clothing of royalty in centuries past. Sequins were made for kings and queens and are thought to have been produced by rolling gold super thin, cutting out discs and then glazing them to prevent scratches. Sequins made of gold coins have been well known to embellish the clothing of traveling gypsies. In the 1940’s gelatine was a discovered material and used to create sequins. We happen to have some rare examples of gelatine sequins for sale. Soon after the invention of gelatine, it was also found out that it could not be near heat or water so articles of clothing with gelatine sequins could not be laundered. Sequin manufacturers abruptly stopped producing gelatine sequins. It was a fashion disaster.

Today, Sequins are a must in every fashionista closet . Why not an they attracts people eyes to you when you walk or dance, That is why always wore by Divas. That doesn’t mean that you can not own at least one Sequins dress to putting on the glitz and sparkle in sequins.

Have a Sequin day !
